Cooperative and primarily research initiative to provide rapid (near) real time data for high quality seismic stations for research.

3 Jan Info Day, UNESCO Paris Ongoing/accepted related projects SAFER (Seismic eArly warning For EuRope): EC research project to exploit the full possibilities of the real time analysis of signals from seismic networks (including VEBSN). 23 participants EERWEM (Earthquake and Earthquake Risk in Western Med): INCO project to coordinate seismic networks in Western Med (counterpart project for Eastern-Med in complementary list) NERIES (NEtwork of Research Infrastructures for European Seismology): EC infrastructure project aims at building the seismological infrastructure as a key land-based segment of the GMES strategy and of the GEO 10-years implementation plan. 25 participants
