Your job today is to pretend you are the pet store owner. Please help me figure out which fish will fit in my tanks at home.

Questions to think about: Do you know the length of the aquariums? Do you know the length of the fish? What tools can you use to find out the length of the fish? You have 10 minutes to work with your group. GO!

Sum it up! If I cannot hold two objects next to each other, how can I tell which object is longer? What tools can help me to find the length of an object? How can I tell a friend what the length of an object is using numbers? How will the length of an object change if I use different units to measure with?

Complete the worksheet You may work with your group. Each person must complete the worksheet.
