INDIA is the seventh-largest country in the world and the second- most populous after China. India is multilingual and multiethnic society and world’s largest democracy nurturing variety of cultures in one country. India represents a perfect blend of cultures, languages, religions, principles and values making a beautiful rainbow which glows in the heart of every Indian.

India’s food culture really can’t be measured. Every region & religion has something special to offer to your palate. The common thread that runs between most Indian cuisines is the use of various herbs and spices which along with adding flavor and aroma to the dishes, contains several medicinal properties.

INDIAN FESTIVALS: JOY AT ITS PEAK

India, being a culturally and religiously diverse society, celebrates various occasions and festivals. Festivals like Diwali, Eid-ul- Fitr, Holi, Christmas, Rakshabandhan etc., are celebrated with lot of enthusiasm throughout the nation. These occasions perfectly showcase the feeling of oneness in the hearts of Indians, irrespective of the religion. We celebrate all festivals together with equal happiness.

Diwali is a five day Hindu festival starting from Dhanteras and is celebrated on a large scale all over India. It falls between mid October and mid November. It is also known as ‘Deepavali’ meaning a row of lights. It is believed that on this day Lord Rama had returned to his homeland Ayodhya after an exile of 14 years. It is celebrated by lighting lamps, wearing new clothes and bursting crackers. Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth is worshipped in every Hindu household at night.

South India is famous for its natural green beauty. Kannada,Malayalam,Tamil and Telugu are the languages mostly used in this region of india
