 In 2011, United Methodists gave –  $6.2 billion dollars  An average of $121 million each week  $12,000 every minute 24/7/365  Approximately 13% goes to pay apportionments UNITED METHODIST GIVING

 1968 % of local church budget  44% for mission (including 26% apportionment)  24% for salaries and administration  19% for building and maintenance (including debt on building)  13% program and ministry  2008 % of local church budget  39% building and maintenance (including debt on building)  37% for salaries and administration  15% for mission (including 13% apportionment)  8% program and ministry SHIFT AWAY FROM MISSIONS

 In the Wisconsin Conference –  Apportionments cost $1.78 per member per week  This amounts to less than $100 a year ($92.56) What do we get for our buck seventy-eight? COSTS – HOW APPORTIONMENTS BREAK DOWN

 For less than the cost of a cup of coffee ($1.87 for a large), one gallon of gas ($3.59recently), a Big Mac ($3.29), or a subscription to Netflix ($7.99 a month) – You support over 400 ministries that save lives & souls, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, protect the innocent, give hope to the hopeless, provide skills and training to those in need, house the homeless, heal the sick, comfort the grief-stricken, educate young people, build global relationships, spread the gospel, and witness to the unconditional and complete love of God as the body of Christ empowered by the Holy Spirit.
