August Beowulf gives the lineage of both Beowulf and Grendel. The Geats and the Danes of the 6 th century believed parentage and ancestry established your place in the world. Create a genealogical chart such as the one in the back of your copy of Beowulf for yourself. Choose either to go back in time charting your ancestors-parents, grandparents, great aunts and uncles, etc. Or Choose to imagine the lineage you will create in the future. Begin with yourself and create a dynasty in the future!
