Physical Map of the U.S.A. Physical maps give insight into the physical features – the terrain – of the different parts of the world depicted in the map. Let’s describe the terrain we see on this map physical map of the United States.

Biome Map of the World Biome maps show a geographical area of unique plant and animal groups which are adapted to that particular environment. Examine this biome map to discover what kinds of plant life you might find in Canada, Australia, or South America.

Climate Map of the U.S.A. Climate maps tell us about the weather that occurs in the different parts of the world depicted in the map. Use this climate map to help you discover what kind of climate(s) you’d encounter in California? What about here in Florida?

Population Map of the U.S.A. Physical maps show the most populated – or crowded – cities and towns of the different parts of the world depicted on a map. Use this map to help you answer the following questions: Where do most people live in the U.S.? Which places are the least densely populated?

Using facts from the maps you have just seen, write a short paragraph (3-4 sentences) explaining where in the United States you would like to live most and why.
