Big Ben is the bell that strikes the hours in the clock tower above the Houses of Parliament at Westminster in London.

The tower being renamed in 2012 (from "Clock Tower") to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II. Now it is officially called the Elizabeth Tower. The tower has become one of the most prominent symbols of the United Kingdom and is often in the establishing sort of films set in London.
