Biomedical Electrodes Presented by- Md. Bashir Uddin Roll: Dept. of BME KUET, Khulna-9203

 Electrodes are first receiver of biomedical signal from the surface of the body/internal of the body.  Receiving signals are given into the input of preamplifier that converts ionic conduction of tissues into electronic conduction.

 Body surface electrodes  Internal electrodes

It is Placed on the surface of the body Examples:  Metal-plate electrodes  Floating electrodes  Flexible electrodes  Dry electrodes

It is Inserted into the body (Needles)  Wires Implanted electronic circuits Example:  Radio telemetry transmitter

 Limb Electrodes  Floating Electrodes  Pregelled Disposable Electrodes  Paste less Electrodes  Air-Jet Electrodes

 Pad Electrode  Chloride silver wire  Needle type  Hypodermic needle type  Metal type micro electrode  Micropipet Electrode

 Chloride Silver Discs Electrode used for general study  Needle Electrode used for special study
