CULTURE  In terms of marriage the man and wife to be must put in an application to the marriage registration 7-8 months before the wedding to rethink their decisions.  Russians like to serve a festive dinner for the guests on occasion of such holidays as birthdays, New Year and Easter.  Russian housewives prefer to cook everything themselves and it is expected that a real Russian woman should be a good cook.  Moscow’s new modern dress code consists of a woman in short shorts and stiletto heels with small children in tow, to a teenage girl in a micro-mini skirt or a maxi dress, to a consciously stylish young man in a sleeveless shirt with a flower-framed portrait of Vladimir Putin, black cargo pants, flip-flops and straw fedora.  Nesting eggs were a gift to Russia from Japan, and are given as very beautiful gifts or are used as home decorations.

LOCATION (*DEMOGRAPHICS*) ☼The Current population of Moscow, Russia is 143,700,000. ☼Live births in Russia from ranged from 2,000,000- 4,000,000. ☼The death rates in Russia from ranged from 2,000,000-5,000,000 with the most deaths in 1933 with a 5,239,000 death rate. ☼The average population in Russia from present day, ranges more than 110,333,000.

ECONOMICS  Since 2013, the economy of Russia has been the eighth-largest in the world and the sixth/ fifth largest by purchasing power parity (PPP).  The country has an abundance of natural resources, including timber, precious metals, and particularly fossil fuels (oil, natural gas, and coal) that can be developed without the constraint of OPEC production quotas and other rules (Russia is not an OPEC member).  Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, Russia has undergone significant changes, moving from a centrally planned economy to a more market-based and globally integrated economy. Economic reforms of the shock therapy in the late 1980s and during 1990s privatized many sectors of industry and agriculture, with notable exceptions in the energy and defense-related sectors.

EDUCATION ÷ Education in Russia is provided predominantly by the state and is regulated by the Ministry of Education and Science. Regional authorities regulate education within their jurisdictions within the prevailing framework of federal laws. ÷ In 2011, the spending on education amounted to $ 20 billion. Private institutions account for 1% of pre-school enrollment, 0.5% of elementary school enrollment and 17% of university-level students. ÷ Male and female students have equal shares in all stages of education, except tertiary education where women lead with 57%. ÷ According to a 2008 World Bank statistic 54% of the Russian labor force has attained a tertiary (college) education, giving Russia the highest attainment of college-level education in the world.
