sydneytafe.edu.aureal skills, endless possibilities Smart and Skilled Update Implementation from1 January 2015 Eligible individuals will have an entitlement to select foundation courses and full qualifications up to and including Certificate III. Pre-vocational training, skill sets and qualifications from Certificate IV to Advanced Diploma will also be funded through TAFE NSW and the training market. Students will pay a fee for their course rather than an annual or semester fee. Concessions and exemptions will continue to be available for disadvantaged groups.

sydneytafe.edu.aureal skills, endless possibilities Vocational competency Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, usually combined with a relevant industry qualification. Vocational competency must be considered on an industry-by-industry basis and with reference to the guidance provided in the Assessment Guidelines of the relevant Training Package. Vocational currency, industry currency, trainer and assessor currency are an integral component of vocational competency.
