The Need in our Community Overcrowded, substandard, and financially burdened homes in our community create a weak economy, effect health and educational success. 4
What Makes Us Unique We build locally: Habitat Pinellas is a locally run non-profit housing organization based in Americus, GA. All funds are raised locally. We build globally: We strive to eliminate housing poverty all around the world. For every home built in Pinellas, one is built overseas. We build green: We build homes that are both good for the homeowner as well as the environment. We utilize the homes to be cost effective, efficient, and maintainable. 5
What Makes Us Unique We bring people together: We build with people of all genders, races, and religious beliefs because we believe that our differences strengthen our community. We build with dignity: Homeowners hundreds of hours of labor into building homes for other people in need. They attend classes to learn how to be successful and independent homeowners. After their home is built, the mortgage helps to fund the building of more homes. 6

How YOU can help Habitat ReStore is a non-profit retail store that sells gently used furniture and home materials at a discounted price. The ReStore proceeds go to help build homes for families. You can drop off anything on our list of acceptable donations or you can become a volunteer at one of our stores! 9
Nuts & Bolts Orientation If you’d like to learn more about our mission to eliminate substandard housing in our community, come to one of our hour long informative presentations. The Nuts & Bolts orientations are held at the Habitat Pinellas Office at th Street N in Clearwater. 10
