RULES OF THE COMPETITION STOW BRAE KIRK 5 TH ANNUAL FLOWER SHOW SATURDAY 15 TH AUGUST 2015 PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES AT 2.30pm BY Rev. Robert Craig The competition is for fun. Please take part and enter as many exhibits as you can. 1.The competition is open to Church members, their family members and friends of the family, the Sunday School and affiliated organisations. 2.The hall will be open on Friday 14 th August between 7pm and 8pm and on Saturday 15 th August between 9.30am and 11.30am so that exhibits can be staged. Staging of exhibits MUST be completed by 11.30am on Saturday 15 th. 3.Competition numbers will be issued. 4.Judging will be by points system and the JUDGES’ DECISION WILL BE FINAL 5.A trophy will be awarded to the person gaining the most points in each section. Competitors will be allowed to exhibit 2 lots in all classes but will receive points for only their highest placed exhibit. 3 points for 1 st place, 2 points for 2 nd place and 1 point for 3 rd place. 6.The winner will hold the trophy for one year and guarantee safe return. 7.Vases will be supplied for cut flowers and cards for pansies. 8.All flowers in Section B and vegetables in Section C MUST be home-grown. 9.Competitors who wish to retain their exhibits should indicate this at the time of entry. Any exhibits not identified will be sold for church funds at the end of the show. Any enquires regarding this years show should be brought to the attention of INA YOUNG, Fundraising Convenor.
