Ronald Reagan and The Arms Race of the 1980’s Nathan Berg (the Shovenist) Kalli Sankey

No, not that Star Wars so put your Light-sabers away. Starwars. Regan's Plan. 3 Main objectives. - Act as an deterrents to USSR - Signal our Resolve. -Update and Modernize the vital - Bomber forces, SAC ( Strategic Air Command) - Nuclear Sub Fleet Navy -Land Based Missile Base Norad

Out Spending. America’s private economy + technology = Mass production in a short time frame for a long time. Soviet communist economy + little or no technology = Pass production over long long periods of time. This is one of the examples as such. Tanks. They never quit building them after the 2 nd World War. That is why theirs oodles of them.

Produced United States -Massive 5 acre flight decked Aircraft Carriers that have the power to strike their air arm of 85 aircraft any where in the world. -Nuclear Submarines, Aircraft, frigates, destroyers, AFVs, IFVs, APCs and guns. Former Soviet Union - Massive nuclear ballistic missiles submarines. - Aircraft (fighters, bombers, Awacs, tankers)

They weren’t total failures in arms. -Produced some of the Worlds Largest Military Movers known to man. - Mil Mi-26 Worlds largest single rotor helicopter meant to move ICBMS - Antonov Aviation Bureau An-225. Made to move the space shuttle, The worlds largest turbo jet engine airplane. - Antonov Aviation Bureau An-124 Ruslan. Made to move ICBMS. - Humongous Nuclear powered submarines. Fully loaded with a swimming pool and sauna. - Hundreds of thousands of Tanks, I mean an ungodly number of the rascals. And the weapon all you know, even most of the girly girls know the Automatic Kalashnikov model 47 (AKA AK 47). Arguably the best assault rifle ever fielded.

SALT 1, In this case it’s case it’s not bad for you. Stated a freeze of Stationary ICBM sites. But allowed the production of Nuclear Subs at the cost of the reduction or shut down of a land based site. MIRVS. Set up ABMs but expensive not all that effective. -Made deal with Soviet Union to limit the defense networks against them. (Explained on board Time permitting.)

MAD Mutually Assured Destruction Pros of MAD. - Prevent an Attack. Cons of MAD. -VERY VERY VERY RISKY. -Must back their promises to obliterate the enemy. If need be. -Be ready to fire knowing that millions of people with a turn of a key.
