WWI Trenches and Technology 7 th Grade Social Studies

Trench Warfare WWI was the first war to use trenches exclusively: long, deep holes dug to protect soldiers from enemy fire. Trenches were dirty and it was easy to get sick living in one….. –Many soldiers died of the flu, which many got living in trenches.

WWI Technology Many inventions and technology came out of WWI that changed the way war was fought. Some inventions include: –U-Boat/submarine –Airplane –Tank –Poison Gas
