Who ● The battle was fought between the US and the Japanese ● Australia, the UK, and New Zealand aided the US.

Where/When ● The battle took place on the island groups known as Guadalcanal ● It occurred August 7th 1942 to February 9th 1943

Why ● This battle was important as it was thought to be the turning point of the pacific theater. ● The appeal of building airstrips on the land is what gave it a draw.
