Objective: To use the Distributive Property of multiplication.

 What is the use of the multiplication Properties? To make multiplication easier to compute mentally.

8 x 15

 States that multiplying a sum by a number is the same as multiplying each addend in the sum by the number and then adding the products 23 x 6

6 x 33 7 x 26

 4 x (8 + n) = 56

 5 x ( 6 + n) if n= 8

 The Distributive Property makes multiplication easier by letting you break numbers apart by place value.
