ACID RAIN AND THE IMPACT IT HAS ON HUMANS PRESENTED BY AARON A. MCCLOUD

What’s Acid Rain "Acid rain" is a broad term referring to a mixture of wet and dry deposition (deposited material) from the atmosphere. Acid rain is caused when pollutants from vehicles business and factories combine with storm clouds in the sky. When these storm clouds precipitate in the form of rain, snow, hail or sleet the liquid released becomes acidic.

How does acid rain impact humans Acid rain looks, feels, and tastes just like clean rain. The harm to people from acid rain is not direct. The pollutants that cause acid rain—sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides—do the damage to human health. These gases interact in the atmosphere to form fine sulfate and nitrate particles. Many scientific studies have identified a relationship between elevated levels of fine particles and increased illness.
