Current level of support to PAs Strong Legal and Institutional Frameworks exist for Protected Area Management in the Gambia However, Protected Areas is not a Priority to Central Government unlike Agriculture and Education. Government funding towards PAs is not sufficient (with annual budget range of 1.5 to 2 million Dalasis). Centralized Vs. Program budgeting
