Hey! Have you read…? Reader’s Review Ms. Larson’s Class Click your mouse to advance the slide

What is Reader’s Review? Reader’s Review is an addition to our classroom website where students can share titles, summaries, and reviews of books they have read. Students read a book, have it posted to the Review Library, submit a Book Review (summary), and, finally, post a comment on the Review Board. Others who read the book can add their comments as well. Click your mouse to advance the slide

The Review Library How to Add a Book First, choose a book and READ it…know your book, because others will see your post and may ask you about your book. To post a book, we need a picture of the book. We will copy and paste that image into the Review Library on our web page. Click your mouse to advance the slide

The Book Review How to add a Book Summary After your book is added to the Review Library, it’s time to write a summary of the book. This appears as the first comment. Be sure to include the basic story elements in your summary, but don’t give away so much that others won’t need to read the book! You want to “sell” your book to others, not give it away! Include characters, setting (place and time), a hint about the plot…just a hint! Click your mouse to advance the slide

The Review Board How to Post a Comment Now it is time to share your opinion…let others know WHAT YOU THINK about the book. Be honest! Did you like the book? Why or why not? What was good/bad about it? Would you recommend it to others? Follow the link to the Reader’s Review Board Click on the book cover Reply to the prompt with your thoughts about the book (don't forget your name) and post Click your mouse to advance the slide

That's It! Now that you know what to do, Grab a book and read, read, read! Then, when you are ready, come back to the class website and go to the Class Bookshelf and Reader's Review Board to share your title and your thoughts about the book. Have fun…happy reading and posting! Click here to return to the web page
