AKHİSAR -MANİSA/ TURKEY ENERGY FOR LIFE RENEWABLE ENERGY SOLAR ENERGY

WHAT ABOUT ENERGY IN AKHISAR and TURKEY?

In general Turkey is a big country and ıt needs huge sum of energy. Turkey uses different kinds of energy sources. In recent years renewable energy sources are important matter for Turkey. It is the same for Akhisar. Akhisar produces and uses wind energy actively.

WIND ENERGY We use wind energy in Akhisar. Most big companies run their own wind energy. And our government support the use of wind energy in Turkey.

Wind energy is a new concept in Turkey. The studies on wind energy started in After 2001 our government legislated some rules. With these legislations first wind turbines were built in Bandırma, Çeşme, Hatay, Manisa, Çanakkale.

Turkey is one of the countries having high wind power. Here is the list of wind power in Turkey

WIND PROJECTS IN TURKEY CITIES İZMİR ÇANAKKALE İSTANBUL BALIKESİR MANİSA HATAY TURBINES

SOLAR ENERGY Turkey is located in a relatively advantageous geographical position. So solar energy is used in Turkey at utmost degree

Some kinds of solar energy panels

Solar Flat Plate Collectors Main solar energy utilization in Turkey is the flat plate collectors in the domestic hot water systems. Turkey is one of the leading countries in the world with a total installed capacity.

The systems are mostly used in Aegean and Mediterranean regions. Total energy production equals to ton oil equivalent.

Photovoltaic Systems Utilization of photovoltaic systems is limited with the usage of some governmental organizations in remote service areas such as telecom stations, forest fire observation towers and highway emergency.

HYDRO ENERGY IN TURKEY Hydro electric power plants are well established in Turkey and range in size from a few megawatts to the massive 2,400 MW Ataturk plant in the southeast of the country.

Hydro electricity is country's most important domestic energy source as it provides reliable, inexpensive and sustainable energy.

There is huge sum of production in hydropower potential in Turkey.

GEOTHERMAL ENERGY IN TURKEY As of 2005, Turkey is the 5th highest direct usage and capacity of geothermal energy in the world. Most of this is in the form of heating homes, industrial facilities, thermal tourism, heating green houses in farming, or fishing.

There are nearly 1000 wells in Turkey. About 170 of them are used as geothermal energy source. However only 11 of them are suitable to produce geothermal energy.

Here is the list of places geothermal energy is being produced : Manisa-Salihli-Göbekli (182 °C), Manisa-Salihli-Caferbey (150 °C), Aydın-Germencik (232 ° C),

Çanakkale-Tuzla (174 ° C), Aydın-Salavatlı (171 °C), Kütahya-Simav (162 °C), İzmir-Seferihisar (153 °C), Aydın-Yılmazköy ( 142 °C) İzmir-Balçova (136 °C) İzmir-Dikili (130 °C).

BIOENERGY IN TURKEY Turkey has a very high natural level of renewable energy resources that can give a huge contribution to the total energy network of the country.

About two-thirds of current renewable energy production is already obtained from bioenergy, which is used to meet a variety of energy needs, including generating electricity, heating homes, providing process heat for industrial facilities and fueling vehicles. BIOENERGY IN TURKEY

Of the biomass energy sources, wood, plant and animal wastes have a very high share of the total energy production.
