Content 1.What is Proximity Sensor. 2. The type of proximity sensors. 3.The application of Proximity sensor. 4.Inductive Proximity Sensor. 5.Capacitive Proximity Sensor. 6.Eddy current Proximity Sensor. 7.Magnetic Proximity Sensor.

What is proximity sensor? Proximity sensor is a device that able to detect the presence of nearby object without any physical contact.

The types of proximity sensors There are many types for proximity sensors and here are some of them: 1.Inductive Proximity Sensor. 2.Capacitive Proximity Sensor. 3.Eddy current Proximity Sensor. 4.Magnetic Proximity Sensor. 5.Radar Proximity Sensor.

The applications of proximity sensor 1.Mobile phones. 2.Roller coasters. 3.Sheet break sensing in paper machine. 4.Anti-aircraft artillery. 5.Car bumpers that sense distance to nearby cars for parking.

Inductive Proximity Sensor. An inductive sensor is an electronic proximity sensor, which detects metallic objects without touching them.

Capacitive Proximity Sensor. Capacitive sensing is a technology for detecting proximity, position, etc., based on effects.

Eddy current Proximity Sensor. Eddy-Current sensors are noncontact devices capable of high-resolution measurement of the position and/or change of position of any conductive target.

Magnetic Proximity Sensor. Magnetic proximity sensors are noncontact proximity devices utilize inductance, Hall effect principles, variable reluctance or magneto resistive technology.
