 The oceans that surround our continent are Pacific Ocean and Atlantic Ocean.  Continents that surround our continents are North America and Africa.  A major land form in our continent is Brazilian highlands.  Size in square miles is 6,879,000 in sq. miles.  The climate in the desert is warm to high temperatures and in grass lands hot summers and cold winters.

 The countries are Ecuador, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Bolivia, Chili, Peru, Venezuela, Suriname, Uruguay, Paraguay.  Capital cities are Brasilia.  Hemisphere location is western and southern.  A famous landmark is Statue of Christ.

 An approximate number of people that live on our continent are 323 million.  Languages spoken on our continent are Spanish and 170 other languages.  Foods that could be found on our continent are corn, potatoes, and beans.  Animals that live on our continent are guarding turtles and Camel cousins.

 The Amazon basin contains about one tenth of all known plant, animal, and are insect species on Earth.  South America is the fourth largest continent in the world.  It is divided into 12 independent countries.  The forest of Brazil covers most of land.  In South America they drink with the same straw to show friendship.
