 Jennifer purchased 5 apples on Monday. On Tuesday Jennifer used 5 apples to bake a pie. Write an expression to represent the number of apples Jennifer has on Wednesday.

 Determine the addition expression that is modeled by this number line.

 Rewrite 10 – 5 as an addition expression.  Rewrite (-11) – (-9) as an addition expression.

 The temperature changed from (-5) degrees to 12 degrees. What is the change in temperature?
