Your Introduction MUST include: ► ► Something to grab the attention of your reader…a “lead” or “hook.” ► ► A way to transition from the ‘hook’ to the thesis. ► ► A thesis statement—a statement that tells the reader your focus for writing (but does not state, “I’m going to tell you about…” It’s what the WHOLE paper is about. ► ► It MAY include a brief statement of the global ideas you’ll use to support your thesis (but it does not REQUIRE this)

While many believe Staffordshire Terriers are mean and vicious, if well- trained, can truly be man’s best, and most loyal friend.
