CHICAGO LEAD CONFERENCE 2012 Keeping the Balance

Do you ever feel like you have to much on you plate with sports, extra curricular activities, homework, and home life.? Or as adult do you feel overloaded with your job, family, and bills? With our “Keeping the Balance” presentation you will learn about new ways to help you feel less overloaded and stressed out. Introduction

STEP 1: BE PROACTIVE  By being proactive you won’t explode on the inside.  Now we are going to show you a demonstration of what will happen if your proactive or not.  You should have a “can do” attitude because it will make everything easier and less stressful to accomplish.

STEP 1 CONTINUED  Take a step back and think about all the tasks at hand.  You have to understand that there are things you can’t change.  ALWAYS be positive.

STEP 2: BEGIN WITH THE END IN MIND  As many of you know while cooking you should measure twice and cut once to insure that you get the best results, this also applies in your everyday life.  Ask yourself this: What do you want people to say about you at your funeral?  Always remember don’t procrastinate.

STEP 2 CONTINUED  Make sure that your tasks are important, but not urgent.  You can’t change time, so change yourself.  To insure you have enough time you should organize your tasks so that when you do something you are able to give your best.

STEP 2 CONTINUED  Make you sure you do projects one at a time, so you don’t get overwhelmed with a lot of work.  We are now going to have a activity that will represent why you should begin with the end in mind.

STEP 3  Focus on the results not the activity.  Think about what you will accomplish once you finish a task and use that to keep you going when you want to quit.
