Important Words The Three Little Pigs

character A character is a made-up person or animal in a story, play or movie.

pig A pig is an animal with a round body, short legs, and a small curled tail. Pigs may live on a farm or in the wild.

wolf A wolf is a large wild animal that looks like a dog. Wolves live in groups and together they hunt for other animals for food.

setting Where and when the story takes place.

hay or straw Hay or straw is grass or other plants that are cut and dried.

sticks Sticks are thin pieces of wood or small broken branches from trees.

bricks Bricks are blocks of clay that have been baked. Bricks are used in building.

chimney A chimney is built on the roof of a building to take smoke to the outside from a fireplace.

turnip A large round light-colored root vegetable that that you can eat that grows under the ground.
