ABOUT ART AND ANIMATION Art and animation are careers that are apart of the communication technology field. Both career fields involve illustrating people, objects, or environments. Animation is when you take these illustrations and bring them to life.

JOBS WITHIN THE FIELD Jobs within the field include Art Director, Creative Director, Artist, Graphic Designer, Animation Director, and Illustrator. Video game design is also a job in art and animation.

HOW TO PREPARE Most artists are self-taught Artists can learn by reading books or watching videos on how to draw. Artists should also study colors to learn about the color’s intensity, value, and temperature. Artists may also consider taking classes.
