Profiles of two producers from different countries and their communities benefit Dalbir Singh - India Joyce Chibouro - Malawi He grows rice in India He now sells to a fair trade company called Agrocel who give him a fair price, interest free credit and advice Before he sold to a middle man and he did’nt get fair prices and had to pay interest on loans Benefits- He has money for medicine and education for his family. Joyce is a member of Kasinthula Cane Growers Ltd in Malawi, which supplies Traidcraft with sugar. Its sugar became Fairtrade certified in 2003 and they have received significant fair trade orders. Her and her family will have electricity for the first time thanks to the fair trade programme The Fairtrade premium is helping farmers to install boreholes in their villages, which have relied on contaminated water supplies from the crocodile-infested Shire River.
