Triangles – what can we remember?

Insert date L.O.: to learn about different types of triangles Task: You have four pieces of blank paper in front of you. - Using a ruler, draw a large equilateral triangle on the first piece of paper. - Using a ruler, draw a large isosceles triangle on the second piece of paper. - Using a ruler, draw a large scalene triangle on the third piece of paper. - Using a ruler, draw a large right-angled triangle on the last piece of paper. IMPORTANT: Do not label your triangles!

Insert date L.O.: to learn about different types of triangles Now shuffle your pictures up, and swap them with the person sitting nearest you! Look at your partner’s pictures. Can you tell your partner which triangle is which, and explain how you know? Label your partner’s triangles: Equilateral, Isosceles, Scalene or Right-angled. Swap back. When you have finished, come to the teacher for an extension activity!
