Negative Effects of Technology in Education By: Luis Ruiz

Elevated Anger Our generation today enjoys the pleasure of themselves in the internet, texting or gaming. Leading to frustration whenever parents ask them to do something while using the internet or playing video games. Behaviors like this shatters many parent-children

Writing skills Relies on digital communication and forgetting to improve their writing skills. Instead of writing the full word out, they tend to use abbreviations/slang.

Academics Spends too much time in front of the television or playing video games. Tends to be distracted by the new technology. Kids multi-task, but they focus more on the interesting things, instead of the more important ones.

Laziness Tends to go on the internet for the answer without trying to figure it out themselves. Can’t find the mentality to get the energy to accomplish the assignments, so social networks become more as a an attention grabber.

Lack of Privacy The internet has stripped the world of privacy these days with their apps and websites. People can find all of your information on the website you go on all the time. There are a lot of hackers these days, they would do anything to get all your info.

Cyber-Bullying The use of technology has increase bullying very much, where kids cannot be themselves because everywhere they go, they get picked on They say it on the internet so everyone can see, which they want to act cool Teen suicide rates have increased

Stressed Using too much Technology results in students focusing more on the outside world. Instead of accomplishing tasks they tend to be more concerned with outside matters. Slow internet connections

Distractions Facebook Instagram Snapchat Youtube Twitter

Sexual Boundaries Happening at young age. Messaging sexual body parts that lasts for 10 second, but where does it go after? Sexting
