Design Rationale According to Gill and Branston; pg 313, guidelines for a good power point presentation are keeping text to a minimum and using clear text like Arial or Sans-Serif and using 16 points or more. Colour choice is important and by using a white background on most slides makes it easier for the viewer to read. The repeating colour I have chosen is blue and white. I chose blue to represent water and sky and white the sandy beaches of Western Australia. I have chosen to not place too many animations and kept the images fairly simple as overdoing it can become boring for the viewer. Gill and Branston; pg 313 also state to keep the information on the slides brief and informative with not too much writing on each slide. Based on the information contained in this report, I have prepared a power point presentation that is brief and informative. The information contained in the presentation is targeted towards the “Holiday” visitor to Western Australia. The presentation gives information on the key areas to visit and it contains brief but relevant information on the services and attractions that are available if you were to come to Western Australia for a “holiday”. At each slide there is notes page by clicking the view panel and then notes page you can see where I have gone into greater detail on the information of each slide. By including notes this enables the person giving the presentation more information to elaborate on each slide and gives the presenter the ability to not talk directly of the slides.
