The Father’s Love Adopted Ephesians 1:3-13

Orphaned Ezekiel 39:23-24 “And the nations will know that the people of Israel went into exile for their sin, because they were unfaithful to me. So I hid my face from them and handed them over to their enemies, and they all fell by the sword. 24 I dealt with them according to their uncleanness and their offenses, and I hid my face from them.”

“I will not leave you as orphans; Orphaned Sin is breaking relationship. “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” John 14:18

Orphaned Sin is breaking relationship. Our Father is alive!

Ephesians 1:3-13 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—

Ephesians 1:3-13 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace 8 that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.

Adopted Predestination is about adoption. The motivation is passionate, pursuing love. “In love he predestined us.” Ephesians 1:4.

Romans 8:15 “The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father."”

Adopted Predestination is about adoption. The motivation is passionate, pursuing love. The emphasis is on God’s work. This relationship is orchestrated, not forced.

Receiving Love Our job is to show up! “Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.” John 1:12-13

Receiving Love Our job is to show up! We receive him, he gives.

1 Peter 1:18-20 “For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. 20 He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.”

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 “You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price.”
