Build Your Own Computer INFO 450

Reasons to Build a PC Computers are surprisingly easy to build. * Money Saving * Performance * Satisfy Personal needs

Parts Required: 1. Case 2. Power Supply 3. Motherboard 4. CPU 5. Memory 6. Video Card 7. Sound Card, Network Card, Modem… 8. Hard Drive(s) 9. DVD ROM/RW; Blue Ray 10. Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor

Cases Antec: Most popular Lian-Li : Expensive, Top Rated Thermaltake Cooler Master Nzst Enlight Corsair Raidmax: low level popular case Rosewill: Bang for the buck

Case accessories: Fan, Cooling systems Exhaust fans Liquid cooling Heat Sink

Power Supply Know what the power requirements are for the hardware you have installed or will install in your computer, check out these wattage requirements for the common computer parts

Motherboard watts Low-end CPU watts Mid to high range CPU watts RAM 7 watts per 128MB PCI add-in card 5 watts Low to mid level graphics card watts High-End graphics card watts IDE hard drive watts Optical drives watts

You should add up your estimated requirements, add another 30% or so for safety and upgrades to get a rough idea of your minimum requirement. You should always go more than the minimum. If you are into top of the line, heavy graphics, overclocking, bells and whistles, start with a 400 watt power supply at least.
