George Washington carver PRESENTING……. (1861-1945) George Washington Carver was an American scientist, botanist, educator, and inventor. He made over 300 uses for the peanut. Our school was named in his honor. George Washington Carver Elementary and Arts Magnet.

PRESENTING……. Ella Fitzgerald (1917-1996) Ella Fitzgerald known as the “First Lady of Song” and the “Queen of Jazz” was an American Jazz Singer with a voice known for it’s Purity of Tone and a “horn like” improvisational ability, particularly in her Scat Singing. By: Kaylen Y. Miles

Motown Records recorded some of the most successful songs and groups in R&B and beyond, like Smokey Robinson, The Supremes, Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder. During his acting career, he stared in rolls along with Dorothy Dandridge, Moms Mabley, and Sidney Poitier. He sang along side Lena Horne.
