Table of content I ntroduction Page 1 WHAT IS TORNADO ? Page 2 WHAT CAUSES TORNADOES ? Page 3 Which state are most likely to have a tornado ? Page 4 How to stay safe during tornado ? Page 5 What damage can a tornado do ? Page 6 Conclusion Page 7

Tornado is very dangerous. The united state has 200,000 of tornadoes per years. It causes lots of damages and it costs billions of dollars to repair. If you want to know how to stay safe during tornado or more information about tornadoes you will find it all here. Page 1 Page 1

Tornado can be defined as a violently rotating of air, which extends from a thunderstorm to the ground. The most powerful tornadoes are capable of producing speeds greater than 250mph. Damage in the path of a tornado can spread more than one mile wide and 50 miles long. Page 2 Page 2

Tornadoes causes form as winds change direction during a storm. Before thunderstorms, for example it is common for winds to change direction speed, which creates a spinning effect in the lower atmosphere. As warm air rises within the thunderstorm, begin to rotate vertically, as they are met by colder streams of air. Page 3 Page 3

The state most likely to have a tornado though all states in the united states are the most tornadoes each year occur in Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, South Dakota, Louisiana, and North Dakota. The Midwest is often to as the ''Tornado belt'', because of the great number of tornadoes occurring this area. Tornado season is between March to May in the late winter and early summer in the southern states. Florida Page 4

To stay safe during tornado stay away of weather conditions. Pay particular attention to thunderstorm warnings. You can monitor local weather station or turn into the national weather service VIA weather radio. Carry a flashlight, storms commonly cut power, stay away from windows during tornadoes. Turn off gas and heaters. Move to a safe area of the house in the basement or lowest level. Go under heavy object or cover your head. Follow this rule to be safe during tornado. Page 5

The damage can a tornado do is rip a house, throw thing above the clouds, and do nearly anything dangerous. The government can spend billions of dollars on repairs every year. For example the tornado of Oklahoma City in the third may, 1999.cost 1 billion dollars in repairs. So the tornado damage are very expensive to repairs it again. Page 6

In conclusion, tornado damages our economy. Tornadoes are very dangerous. We must follow directions to stay safe during tornado. Tornadoes always visit the United States every years and it is so expensive to repair it. The most challenge part is that tornadoes causes form as winds change direction during a storm.for next time I will put more information and make it easier to understand.
