Growing up like Dad Ephesians 5:1-4

If we become a child of God by grace alone then where does obedience fit in?

“as beloved children” you are already His child you are already His “beloved”

“be imitators of God” obedience is how we become like our Dad Genesis 1:27 God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

“be imitators of God” obedience is how we become like our Dad Romans 8:29 For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren

Imitate our Father’s… love (Eph 5:2) 1 John 4:7–8 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

Imitate our Father’s… holiness in behavior (Eph 5:3) in speech (Eph 5:4)
