Project Managers Warehouse Foreman Customers President of the Company

The goal of this project is to create a low cost system of managing incoming left-over material in order to save time and money on delivering said material to other jobs within the company. As an interior commercial construction company, material is constantly entering and leaving the warehouse from and to different jobs. A system is needed in order to accurately track this material in order to utilize it in the most proficient manner.

There is an overabundance of material returning to the warehouse on a constant basis, most of which is not being organized or tracked. This makes it very difficult to find and use particular material on other jobs, and therefore is causing a large stockpile that takes up space in the warehouse.

Scope: The system being analyzed and improved is the process by which material enters the warehouse and is stored and kept track of. Objectives: To minimize the amount of time it takes a project manager to find the correct material he needs. To have a master list of all material available at any given moment.

Create a system that improves the process of tracking and organizing material. Reduce job costs by using material already paid for. Save time and money by creating an easy to use material tracking system.
