1 Peter Outline I.KOG – Suffering now Glory to come 1 Peter 1:10-11 As to this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you made careful search and inquiry, 11 seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow.

1 Peter Outline I.KOG – Suffering now Glory to come II.KOG – Living as Kingdom Priests

1 Peter Outline I.KOG – Suffering now Glory to come II.KOG – Living as Kingdom Priests 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

1 Peter Outline I.KOG – Suffering now Glory to come II.KOG – Living as Kingdom Priests III.KOG – Bringing the Kingdom to the world

1 Peter Outline I.KOG – Suffering now Glory to come II.KOG – Living as Kingdom Priests III.KOG – Bringing the Kingdom to the world 1 Peter 3:8-9 To sum up, let all be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit; 9 not returning evil for evil, or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing.

Amen.

1 Peter 5:10-11 SUFFERING as a Christian –TRAINS our FAITH 1:6-7 In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, 7 that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

1 Peter 5:10-11 SUFFERING as a Christian –Training FAITH –Gives an opportunity for witness 1 Peter 3:15-16 but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence; 16 and keep a good conscience so that in the thing in which you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.

1 Peter 5:10-11 SUFFERING as a Christian –TRAINS our FAITH – Gives an opportunity for witness – Gives way to GLORY 1 Peter 5:10 And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.

1 Peter 5:10-11 Our GOD is: – Merciful – Holy 1 Peter 1:15 but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; 16 because it is written, "You shall be holy, for I am holy."

1 Peter 5:10-11 Our GOD is: – Merciful – Holy – Just 1 Peter 2:23 and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously;

1 Peter 5:10-11 Our GOD is: – Merciful – Holy – Just – Longsuffering 1 Peter 3:20 who once were disobedient, when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through the water.

1 Peter 5:10-11 Our GOD is: – Merciful – Holy – Just – Longsuffering – Faithful 1 Peter 4:19 Therefore, let those also who suffer according to the will of God entrust their souls to a faithful Creator in doing what is right.
