Illegal immigration in the united states Casto Chavez

Number of illegal immigrants in the united states All states: 11,555,000 California: 2,930,000 Texas: 1,640,000 Florida: 980,000 Illinois: 550,000 New York: 540,000 Arizona: 500,000 Georgia: 490,000 New Jersey: 430,000 North Carolina: 370,000 Washington: 280,000 Other states: 2,950,000

How do illegal immigrants feel about illegal immigration? Illegal immigrants come the united states for a better life then the one they have in there country. Once in the united states they tend to keep a low profile to avoid getting deported. 6% of all illegal immigrants do their taxes. 94% of all illegal immigrants don’t do taxes.

How do citizens of the U.S feel about illegal immigration? Thirty percent of those polled think that most illegal immigrants, with some exceptions, should be deported, while 23 percent believe all illegal immigrants should be deported. Only 5 percent believe all illegal immigrants should be allowed to stay in the United States legally, and 31 percent want most illegal immigrants to stay.

How do republicans feel about illegal immigration? a large majority of Republicans (70%) think it would be better for the U.S. economy if undocumented immigrants became legal workers. About as many (69%) said undocumented immigrants are “hard workers who should have an opportunity to stay in the United States. And fully 76% say it would be unrealistic to deport everyone in the country illegally. substantial percentages of Republicans also see potential downsides from granting undocumented immigrants legal status 77% say it would encourage more people to come to the U.S. illegally and 68% think it would reward illegal behavior. Most also say legalization would drain government services (68%) and cost U.S. jobs (66%).

How do democrats feel about illegal immigration? Democrats support reforming the INS to provide better services. The Democrats want an amnesty bill at any cost. They believe an immigration reform will help the united states. Barack Obama is against a border fence, He says we don’t need it.

My opinion why illegal immigration is good to the U.S Congressional Budget Office indicates that between 30 percent and 50 percent of unauthorized immigrants pay federal, state, and local taxes. documented and undocumented – have a net benefit to the nation's total economic output, raising it by a reported $21.5 billion per year (USA Today). And according to Business Week, undocumented immigrants have become an important source of growth for U.S. banks, insurers, credit card providers, and phone carriers.

My opinion why illegal immigration is bad for the U.S 44 million Americans are on food stamps because of illegal immigrants. 47 million Americans are living in poverty because of illegal immigrants. The cost of educating the children of illegal immigrants is staggering. It is estimated that U.S. taxpayers spend $12,000,000,000 a year on primary and secondary school education for the children of illegal immigrants.

How much money does the united states spend in illegal immigration? in the 2012 budget year that ended in September the government spent about $18 billion on immigration enforcement programs run by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the U.S.-Visit program, and Customs and Border Protection, which includes the Border Patrol.

How much money do illegal immigrants provide to the united states? illegal immigrants are estimated to pay in about $7 billion per year into Social Security. In addition, they spend millions of dollars per year, which supports the US economy and helps to create new jobs. The Texas State Comptroller reported in 2006 that the 1.4 million illegal immigrants in Texas alone added almost $18 billion to the state's budget, and paid $1.2 billion in state services they used. the U.S. Social Security Administration maintains roughly $6 billion to $7 billion of Social Security contributions in an earnings suspense file an account for W-2 tax forms that cannot be matched to the correct Social Security number. The vast majority of these numbers are attributable to illegal workers who will never claim their benefits. From tax years 1937 through 2003 the ESF had accumulated about 255 million mismatched wage reports, representing $520 billion in wages and about $75 billion in employment taxes paid into the suspense file for tax year 2003.

Other things that the money spend on stopping illegal immigration could be spend on Education Health Making new jobs Fixing rounds Helping the poor Gun control

Bad or good Honestly it depends on what side you are on for the reason that illegal immigration hurt the united states in many ways but at the same time it helps the united states.
