 Sacred Scripture repeatedly emphasizes the importance of seeking God (Psa. 119:1-3; Acts 17:24-28).

 We must seek the Lord according to the divine pattern (Deut. 12:1-7; 1 Chron. 15:11-15).  We must seek the Lord with all our heart (1 Chron. 22:17-19; 28:6-10).  We must seek the Lord in times of apostasy (2 Chron. 11:14-17; 2 Tim. 3:13-17).  We must seek the Lord from the land of captivity (Deut. 4:25-31; Hos. 3:1-5).

 Consider the sad examples of Rehoboam (2 Chron. 12:13-14) and Asa (2 Chron. 14:2-4; 15:1-2, 8-15; 16:7-14).  Therefore, let us seek the Lord while He may be found (Isa. 55:6-7; Amos 5:4-7).
