4 If you feel your prayers are not effective, then include these attitudes in your prayer life:

6 Heb 4:16, “Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

7 1 John 5:14-15, “This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.”

8 2. When you are in a time of trouble, ask God for help, believing that He is able to give it. John 14:13-14; 15:7; 16:23b-24.

9 3. Remember God's Faithfulness. Seek out God, appealing to His promises and remembering what He has done for you. Psa 77:10-14

10 4. Remember the constancy of Jesus Christ. Heb 13:8, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”

11 5. Remember the Majestic Nature of Jesus Christ. Heb 1:8-12

12 6. Rely on His Promises. First, read Scriptures so that you know what those promises are, then grasp the mighty faithfulness of God with a grip of determination. Deut 26:17-19; 2 Sam 7:28-29

13 7. Admit your Weaknesses to the Lord. Psa 6:2-9

14 8. Declare your trust. Express your confidence in God. Look to Him for your rescue, knowing that it will come. Psa 123:1-2

15 9. Bible verses about prayer to contemplate. Psa 86:1-17; 1 Thes 5:16-19
