Coincidental???  Buena Vista’s new Jodie Foster thriller, Flight Plan features a plane that is strikingly similar to the new Airbus A380.  Early viewers of the movie have mistaken Flight Plan’s set for the real jet.

Denying Both Airbus and Buena Vista deny that the release of the movie just before the delivery of the first A380 jets in March 2006 are coordinated events.

Appealing to International Airlines  Rivaling Boeing’s aging 747 fleet.  Air France, Virgin Atlantic, and Lufthansa have all ordered planes.  154 sold at a price of $258 million each  Airbus needs to sell 250 to break even

Luxury in the air  49% more floor space and 35% more seating with wider seats and aisles than the 747.  More fuel efficient and less emissions and noise.  2 full decks of passenger seating with spiral staircases, 7 galleys, a full bar and a cockpit with bunks for the crew. 

Bottom line…  Studies have shown that people do not pay a lot of attention to the kind of plane they will be flying in when booking a flight.  Are all the extras worth the time and money???
