Faculty Research Grant Who can apply? Any member of the AAUP/NMUFA bargaining unit May only be funded for 1 grant per year (project must be completed within 24 months) Maximum of 3 awards in 5 years (may submit more often)

Faculty Research Grant How much support is available? Up to $7000 per grant for a 24 month period Total amount available per funding cycle is variable Approximately 13 faculty apply per year ( )

Faculty Research Grant What do these grants fund? A scholarly or creative “product” Paper submitted for publication Book Play Music score Etc. What is not funded? Curriculum development or instructional improvement activities, research centers, or activities already completed

Narrative - Format Limited to 10 double spaced pages 10 point font or larger One inch margins Applicant’s name in top right hand corner of each page Full pagination

Review Process How will you know if you have been successful? Dec 15 - FGC makes recommendations to Senate You will get a letter indicating your ranking Does not tell you if you are funded or not! February 1 - Senate makes recommendations to Provost/VPAA March 1 - Provost/VPAA announces awards Now you find out if you definitely get the money or not
