Strengths and Benefits of UDLib/SEARCH l An online direction to the Web and a jump start to more advanced research l Enthusiasm of teachers and librarians

Impact of UDLib/SEARCH “Having access to the databases has been a godsend. Because our students do a lot of research online, we can direct them to solid information without surfing the Web. This has eliminated a lot of problems with students going to sites that are questionable or not acceptable. The amount of information is truly astounding and for this age group gives them ample choices from quality sources.” Brenda Sharp Milford Middle School Library

Impact of UDLib/SEARCH “I can tell you that UDLib/SEARCH is one of the finest things that the legislature has ever done for students in Delaware public schools. Our students are able to find information which never would have been available to them before.” Carole Carpenter, Librarian Milford Senior High School Library

Impact of UDLib/SEARCH “Quite frankly I do not know how we ever survived without UDLib/Search. Thanks to the legislature for providing these resources and thanks to the University of Delaware for administering the program. My library has a very small budget, and I could not afford even one of these services per year.” Deborah Gary New Castle Middle School Library

Impact of UDLib/SEARCH “I just want to let you know how wonderful the UDLib/SEARCH databases have been for me and for my eleventh grade English classes. The library here at Delcastle has always been limited in its research resources. Prior to the existence of UDLib/SEARCH, it was extremely difficult to do a research paper or research for debates. Now we have wonderful information available..” Ann Roybal, Teacher Delcastle High School

Impact of UDLib/SEARCH “The average school library in Delaware provided no more than 75 magazines and journals. The UDLib/SEARCH program provides more than 500 online periodicals.” Sandra Millard Program Director, UDLib/SEARCH
