Small Scale Pond Simulation Evaluate fertilizer effects over time –Advantages: Back to back studies Take results to field for pond study Two Objectives: –Water level: Determine if water levels affect pH, EC, Water Temperature C over time Nitrate & Ammonium –Fertilizer rate: Determine EC toxicity level according to 3 different rates

Materials Drain components 1 ½” x 1” Bushing Blue Aquarium filter cut to size ¾” x 1” threaded male 18 gal. Rubbermaid storage tub Fitted with drains & hose-on’s to sample leachate
