After choosing the Template, you can copy your template selection into a new PowerPoint presentation. Go to file and Save the project to a desired location on your computer. Now you can start building your poster. You want to make sure you size your poster correctly. The Poster is already sized in the template as a 42 by 56 inch poster. If you want to change the size, do the following commands. –Go to File, then Page Set-up –Choose custom, and enter the size you want for your poster. –Example: 36” x 56” –You can now start by copy & pasting or typing your text in areas indicated on the template. Note: The text box areas are highlighted in a light yellow to help you identify the area of the text. When you are near completion of your poster you can change the text box area to white. This will give your design a more open look with out looking boxed in. Double click the yellow area in the text box and the color palette should appear you can select the white box and that should change your text box area to white. You can repeat these steps for each text box.
