4 Accomodation: The Foreign Student Office (SASS) of the University of Genoa offers a free service to help students search for a proper accomodation in flats shared with other Italian or international students. The same office helps international students in order to obtain the entry visa, the permit of stay, the fiscal code, and health assistance. Courses of Italian language: The University of Genoa organises, with the contribution of the European Commission, Italian Language courses for international students, completely free of charge. The major aim of the courses is to provide students with the linguistic tools which will enable them to make the best of their stay in Genoa. The courses are divided into levels from elementary to advance. The students have to sit for an entrance test. The classes are established on the basis of the test results - the test usually coincides with the beginning of the course - and do not exceed 25 students.
