HOUSING: PEASANT/SERF A Peasant’s House  Made from wood and stone—wattle and daub  Roof made from thatch  Part of the house would be for animals  House would be outside of the castle/manor, in the fields

HOUSING: KING/QUEEN, LORDS/LADIES, CHURCH LEADERS  King/Queen would have a castle with many peasants working for them  A Lord/Lady would have a Manor, like a castle but smaller  A Pope would have a cathedral but a priest would live like a peasant

MEDIEVAL DIET: PEASANT Typical Diet Sample One:  2 cups beans  2 whole wheat bread  3 pints ale  4 cups turnips(4000 calories) Typical Diet Sample Two:  2 cups beans  3 whole eggs  3 cups oats (porridge)  3 pints ale  8 ounces cheese (3500 calories)
