WHO IS IHEART MEDIA?  iHeart Media is an International Mass Media company set up in San Antonio, TX U.S.A. Formerly known as Clear Channel Communications Inc., it was founded in 1972 by Lowry Mays (left photo) and B. J. “Red” McCombs (right photo)  Company Website :

WHAT IS IHEART MEDIA  iHeart Media is a corporation that specializes in radio broadcasting, outdoor advertising, television, live events, as well as the spread of news and information. Justin Timberlake at the 2013 iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.

MISSION STATEMENT  “At iHeartMedia, Inc. we value diversity as a cornerstone of our business, our people, and how we utilize our differences to embrace diversity as a business strategy.”

HOW DID IT COME TO BE?  Clear Channel Communications purchased it’s first FM station in San Antonio in By 1995 Clear Channel owned about 43 radio stations and and 16 television stations. This was due to the the loosen restrictions from the U.S. congress on radio rules allowing the company to acquire to stations per market. Further more the Telecommunications act of 1996, which also allowed Clear Channel to purchase 70 additional media companies and individual stations.
