1.All Economic Disadvantaged codes must be updated at the beginning of the school year – an LEA cannot rollover prior year economic disadvantage codes to the current year 2.All students on the Direct Certification (DC) listing are coded as “01” If an LEA was Provision 2 or Traditional and is now CEP ©2014 Region One Education Service Center

3. All Students NOT on DC list must be surveyed: Students not on DC list who qualify as economic disadvantaged, as per income survey are coded “99” Students not on DC list who do not qualify as per income survey are coded “00” Students not on DC list who do not fill out income survey are coded “00” If an LEA was Provision 2 or Traditional and is now CEP – cont. ©2014 Region One Education Service Center

4.Under CEP, an LEA can never roll the economic disadvantaged data over to the following year Every year, the DC list can be used to code students as “01” Every year, a new income survey must be gathered for any student not on the DC list If an LEA was Provision 2 or Traditional and is now CEP – cont. ©2014 Region One Education Service Center

Can a Provision 2 LEA use DC list for students new to the district?
